Steven began working for Ameriprise Financial in 1988 as a financial advisor. In 1990 he became a member of the field management team in Chicago. He moved to Minneapolis, MN and in 1992 assumed responsibility for and ultimately became manager of the company's Asset Allocation Program. In June 1996, Steven took the position of regional director of investments. In February 1998 he was promoted to senior regional vice president, investment products, where he oversaw RVPs for the west half of the United States. Steven's contributions to Ameriprise Financial and RiverSource Distributors have been recognized with the company's Premier Performer Award, the Chairman's Award for Quality, as well as the President's Award for Advancing Quality of Advice.
